It has been said that people born blind grow and mature with an intellect absolutely void of the pre-conceptions or judgments of those with sight. Their minds become formidable think tanks…platforms from which they develop razor sharp insight into life’s every-day problems and challenges. Hein Wagner is such a man – although born blind he can list more personal achievements than many!
They include • Marathon running • Western Province Colours for Athletics • Completed the Cape to Rio Yacht Race in 1993 • Played for the South African Blind Cricket Team that won the World Cup in India in 1998 • Recently completed his APMP through the Open University of London • Completed the Construction du Cap Cycling Race - Riding solo, Hein completed the 39 kilometre section of the race on his own
Hein also broke the World Blind Land Speed Record on 08 September 2005, setting the new World Record at 269.24 km/h.
Until recently Hein worked for Thawte Consulting, the internet security company that made Mark Shuttleworth a billionaire, as an international sales manager.
As a professional speaker Hein has yet again been able to rise to this challenge with a level of enthusiasm that is evident in the increasing amount of recognition which his appreciative audiences have awarded him.
A dynamic presenter, Hein’s presentations are largely based on his own experiences. His talks cover a wide range of topics, which include: self motivation, teamwork, sales, overcoming personal challenges, perseverance and lots more!
