Tom Purcell is a former Solicitor (attorney) with English Premiership club Chelsea, and he is currently the Chairman of the Chelsea Supporters Club South Africa. His love of Cape Town, South Africa and football has propelled him to produce a heady mix of passion and excitement for what we are going to encounter in this country next year. For Cape Town, it started in the first week of December, and will build to a roaring crescendo as we enter 2010. Originally from England, Tom Purcell has lived in Hout Bay for 10 years. Having harboured ‘delusions of stage grandeur’ from an early age, Tom embarked upon his speaking career in 2008 and talks regularly on the Cape Town circuit.
With his relaxed yet polished style, Tom’s wit and charm endears him to audiences who describe him as amusing, professional and warm.
