Siddeeq Railoun is currently one of the directors of a multi-service consultancy, Collaborative Change Consulting Services. He is a final year PhD candidate at Brandeis University, Waltham, and holds a Masters in Social Policy and Social Change from the same university. He is an alumnus of the University of the Western Cape where he studied Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management.
From 1990 to 1996, Siddeeq was the manager of the Centre for Cognitive Development an NGO, of Vista University. He has been an associate consultant in multiculturalism, diversity and affirmative action for VISIONS in the USA from 1996 to 1999. He established the current company, Collaborative Change Consulting Services with three woman partners. Siddeeq consults mainly in the areas of Transformation Strategy, Diversity, Change Management, Self Empowerment and Sector Skills Audit research.
He is a passionate promoter of nurturing human potential and sound business practices, yet remains astutely aware of businesses social responsibility in South Africa. He thrives on developing indigenous knowledge models and training programme materials, and facilitates and explores innovative ways of people and organisational transformation strategies and practices.
Over the years, he has worked extensively in helping establish community programmes and businesses in disadvantaged areas. Some of these businesses are Wellington Women of Worth (WOW), St Michaels community projects in Harare, Khayelitsha, Basadi Pele Foundation in Kruger’s Dorp, Nonceba Rape Crisis Centre, Khayelithsa, Face to Face/Faith to Faith Youth exchange programme, Cape Town and The Naqshbandi Muhammadi Order of South Africa, Da’wah Committee as the business empowerment initiator.
