Gerhard had been involved in wildlife conversation for more than a decade. As former Head Ranger at Mabula, Bakubung, Kwa-Maritane and Tshukudi Game Lodges, he has accompanied thousands of conference delegates and overseas guests on educational wildlife activities.
During 1993, 19 free-ranging lions were introduced into the Pilanesberg National Park. Fascinated with them, Gerhard made it his hobby to follow them and learn more about their behaviour. This he did, day and night, for four years.
From his experience, Gerhard has drawn spellbinding analogies to drive home the importance of dominating and protecting our territory and markets from both local and international competition.
