Stand-Up Comedians for Sale!!

Riaad Moosa, who is a qualified medical doctor, is one of the hottest tickets in South African comedy today. His humour is based on his experiences as a young Muslim relating to post-911 Islamophobia, growing up in Cape Town and general observational and opinion-based humour.
Skirting around the relatively taboo topics with charm and ease this comedy doctor will split your sides and keep you in stitches at the same time. He is an experienced comic, MC and facilitator and has performed at scores of corporate events, and hosted such illustrious events at the Loerie Awards. Riaad has been seen across the country in the Heavyweight Comedy Jams, as part of Laugh Out Loud (the largest stand-up show in South African TV history), and on the King Size Comedy line-ups. He has supported Mark Curry and Russel Peters on their respective local tours, and his newest one-man show, “Riaad Moosa for the BarackA”, was a massive countywide hit in 2009.

Barry Hilton is a household name in South Africa and audiences love his irrepressible sense of humour! He is a skilful, generous and engaging entertainer who pulls out all the stops for audiences across the country and his shows are invariably sold out well in advance. Known (and loved) as the cleanest comic around, his unique brand of humour has an uncanny ability to entertain and it shows an awareness of the fine line between laughing at and laughing with the jokes about an array of 'sensitive' issues.
In 2009 Barry starred in the movie “Finding Lenny”, which saw him nominated in the Best Actor Category for the American Feel Good Film Festival.

As one of South Africa’s most prolific comedians, John is well-known for his versatility and punishing schedule. Whether he’s writing material in a hotel suite with Jerry Springer, representing his country on stage in a Canadian festival with Drew Carrey following him, hosting a prime-time talk show or entertaining business leaders at their function, he’ll deliver the goods in his signature high-octane style.
Vlismas is a favourite amongst South Africans living abroad and regularly travels to London to cheer up the masses of us over there. He’s featured at the Berlin festival, garnered favourable reviews in Melbourne, and still tours with the largest comedy productions in South Africa; the Kingsize Comedy Jams.
On 17 September 2007 John was victorious in the category “Best Stand-up of the Year” at the prestigious South African Comedy Awards, where he was up against comedy giants Riaad Moosa and David Newton.

Trevor Noah is recognized as one of the most talented comedians in South African comedy.
2008 saw Trevor participate as one of the celebrity personalities in the South African version of the popular reality dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing Trevor's acting abilities added to his charm and good looks have made him a favourite for television roles. He has made appearances on 2 of the country's top soapies, done commercials for McDonalds and the South African Revenue Service. The Sunday Times recently named Trevor as one of the personalities destined for greatness this year.
Trevor took part in the Nando’s Jozi Comedy Festival from the 17th to the 23rd of August 2009 at Montecasino in Johannesburg. He was the only South African comedian to be featured.

Alan Committie is fast becoming known as one of South Africa's leading comics. He is a character comedian, stand-up comic, actor, director, writer, producer, Master of Ceremony and even a fully qualified high school teacher.
Alan can currently be seeing on MNET's comedy hoax show Laugh out Loud where he has a weekly rant in the guise of his alter ego: Johan van der Walt!
Alan is currently Defending the Caveman at theatres around the country. He has taken over this legendary one man show which has been running in South Africa for the last 9 years and for more than 1500 shows! Alan has received rave reviews and continues to play to full houses with this hysterical play. He alternates between this show and his own stand up shows and can be seen at various theatres around the country.

David Kau is probably one of the country’s most sought-after comedians. His one-man show, “I Did These Jokes First”, played to sold-out audiences around the country. He is also the producer and host of the popular comedy brand “Blacks Only”.

Billing himself as the world's first and only 100% BEEC - Black Economic Empowerment Comedian - David has performed for clients such as Discovery, Brandpower, Vodacom, SAB Miller and Castle Lager, and has received rave reviews!

The skies are the limit for this fine entertainer!
